Happy Chicks Bakery

Yay! An all vegan bakery! And I got my birthday cake here.

Yup. All vegan. And some gluten-free, too. But they say not 100% because cross-contamintion can occur.

I asked for pumpkins and a batman symbol. :) Love it. Next time I will see how much 3d stuff costs. I saw a wedding cake being made. I nearly swooned. I want a wedding cake. A gigantic vegan wedding cake.

Bretzel OTR

Yay! Another place I can get vegan dessert and it's German.

I love that there are not too many offerings. People doing one thing really well.

Good prices in my opinion. I got two twists: cinnamon sugar and dark chocolate.

Bretzel is in a historic building which I also love. Bakersfield assured me it was.

Venice on Vine

This pizza place has vegan cheese! $2 extra, but it's worth it.

Power inspires progress. Venice on Vine gives jobs to inner city residents who may otherwise have a hard time finding a job and give on the job training.

I got a coffee in a cute mug! And...I forgot to take a picture. Blah! Maybe I can get more pizza Saturday on my Bday and take pics!

Heartical

On Vine St. near Findlay Market, sits this tiny shop that has mostly all vegan food in it. There was some fish and things with honey, but they have lots of alterntive meats, vegan mayo and cheese. They have soap and beauty products, too. I don't know if those are all vegan though.

I got these chicken drumsticks to eat with some rice noodles I got from Saigon Market.

They actually tasted like dark chicken meat. Which is not my favorite. And neither was the curry sauce, but I may get it again if can't find Gardein Chicken. They would be good with sweet and sour sauce.

Thai Express in Clifton

It looks so small and unassuming every time I walked by to go to my bus stop. A friend from work told me about it maybe two years ago. Finally, I went in.

I tried the Soy Sauce Noodles dish. Definitely what I was looking for! Lots of veggies and fried tofu. Next time I will see if I can get light oil though.

Veggies spring rolls. I can't pass them up.

It's so tiny in here. There are two small tables in the window. Mostly, everyone gets take-out.

Tucker's Restaurant

Such a nice view on the way there. This is a place where if you were visiting Cincy and wanted to know where the locals go this is it. On the way here, a guy told me how he had to buy drugs on the street because he was in an accident and the drugs from the doctor are too expensive. Then he went on his way and I went on mine.

This place is amazing. Liberty & Vine everyone.

I can catch them on Tuesday.

Jim Tarbell is right up my alley. Cincinnati fixture. I will definitely be writing him in.

It's so quaint in here. A writer's dream. All the locals come here.

This is Joe. When I came in he asked if I was from out of town. Ha. (totally for locals! I love it!) It had been too long since I had been in. Really. Within 6 minutes of sitting down this place makes me smile and reaffirms my love for OTR as my home.

I had the vegan chili (made by Joe).

Then I had a vegan burger without the bun because they didn't have any vegan bread. Which was fine. It tasted great.

The super salad was recommended and it was great.

Red Pepper in Clifton

I went to Red Pepper for dinner tonight. This was Alex, my server. He spoke Chinese! Whoa. It was awesome. So the dish he is eating is Mei Fun without any meat and with Fried tofu and they accidentally left egg in it. So they had to remake mine.

This was good I think I will get it again. You have to ask for no meat and no eggs. No biggie. It was made fresh. It cost me $11. $1 extra for fried tofu. Next time I will go for lunch or bring a coupon and not get the tofu.

The soup I did not like so much, but I don't eat Chinese soup a lot so it might be your thing. Pretty big bowl for $2.50.

Sidewinder

Inner Peace Holistic

I just got a massage here. Lovely. Very nice staff. 60 minutes for $55 and they always have deals going on if you sign up for their emails. I've been here about four times. Not this exact spot though. The building they are in now is on 8th and Race Street. Cool building, too.

Not all these beauty products are vegan, but most are.

They also have vegan nail polish here. So you can get a vegan manicure and pedicure! Whoa. I always double check though and make sure everything they are using on me is vegan. I know. I'm a pain. You gotta vote with your money though.

Coffee Emporium

This is Panda! He just came back from Stockholm, Sweden. He told me there are lots of vegans there. He is a magnificent photographer, too. I mean really.

Vegan coffee cake and a Vegan chocolate treat which was really a brownie with icing. Holy shit. Best vegan brownie ever. Actually Sidewinder has pretty good ones, too. I'm gaining some weight guys. Yes, I am.

Cute inside. The smell of coffee always hits you when you walk in and I love it. My favorite coffee is at Collective Espresso though. I came here for the baked goods and yeah, some coffee. And it was Labor Day. Only place that is open everyday! Everyday. I'm pretty sure.

My cat Bilf. Loungin around.

Pho Lang Thang

Pho Lang Thang is one of my favorite places to go to for lunch. It's part of Findlay Market.

These are the vegan spring rolls. The peanut butter sauce is really tasty and sweet. $4 for two rolls.

The inside of the spring roll.

This was the vegan pho. I put lots of sriracha sauce in it. I chose tofu and mushrooms in mine. It was only $6. I advise going on the weekdays because there are less people there. Findlay Market gets really busy on the weekends. The other vegan options on the menu include a noodle salad and a vegan bahn mi. Both are tasty, but I like the bahn mi better.

Update:

I ate the bahn mi today. Mmm. Perfect taste. Crispy on the outside. Sweet and savory. Nicely fried tofu. I couldn't get the mayo on it, but I put my own on when I got home.
